ITE 152-Introduction to Digital and Information Literacy and Computer Applications

Develops understanding of digital and information literacy. Introduces basic computer concepts in hardware, software, cyber, cloud, database, and operating systems. Includes hands-on experience developing word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation documents.

Evaluates the reliability of sources. Covers creating a simple web page. Examines topics such as social, legal, and ethical issues. This is a UCGS transfer course

ITN 106 - Microcomputer Operating System (3 CR.)

Course Description :


Teaches use of operating system utilities and multiple-level directory structures, creation of batch files, and configuration of microcomputer environments. May include a study of graphical user interfaces

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in understanding PC desktop operating systems. Students will learn how to install, configure, troubleshoot, update, and uninstall various operating systems and their components. These skills are expected from any PC desktop, helpdesk, and network support technician. The material covered in this course is related to the industry certification CompTIA A+.

ITN 260-Network Security Basics

Provides in-depth instruction on the basics of network security. This includes security objectives, security architecture, security models, and security layers, as well as risk management, network security policy, and security training.

Includes the security keys, confidentiality integrity, availability, accountability, and auditability

Includes specially designed instruction to give students basic hardware and software configurations knowledge. Includes the installation of various peripheral devices and basic system hardware components
